We are always looking for church and Christian groups who are willing to help in the aftermath of a disaster
When disasters strike, we want to be able to respond immediately with practical help and the hope of Jesus Christ. By working with volunteers, Samaritan's Purse can bring relief quickly to those who are suffering—wherever they may be. Volunteers should be committed Christians who want to provide compassionate, competent service in the Name of Christ.

Our Current Projects
Hurricane Relief
Samaritan’s Purse is currently scheduling volunteers to help with our response to Hurricane Ike in Texas. If you would like to volunteer, please download the Volunteer Questionnaire above.
Participate on a Volunteer Team
We are always looking for church and Christian groups who are willing to help in the aftermath of a disaster.
Location: Disaster sites throughout the United States
Number of Volunteers: 15-person maximum per trip
Minimum Age: 16. For volunteers 17 years and younger, a parent is required to sign a release form and must work on-site with their child.
Length of Project: We are looking for volunteer teams willing to serve for at least 3-10 days.
Description of Project: Depending on the disaster, duties can include removing mud and ruined materials from houses, clearning fallen trees and debris, and repairing damaged roofs and other construction.
Additional Information:
• Your team should be organized before you contact us. You will need to provide the number of team members, dates available, and other information when you contact us.
• Your team is responsible for providing your own transportation to and from the disaster relief site. You are also expected to provide transportation for your team and tools to the job site each day.
• Your sleeping quarters and meals will be provided. You will need to bring your own cot or air mattress, sheets, towels, and personal hygiene items.
• Constructions skills are very useful. Supplying your own tools is helpful, but not mandatory.
• Teams should not bring additional supplies like food, water, clothing, etc. for the victims, as we are not set up to distribute relief supplies.
How to Sign Up:
1. Download the volunteer questionnaire form and save it to your computer. This form is a fillable MS Word document.
2. Carefully fill out each section of the questionnaire. Incomplete questionnaires cannot be processed.
3. Send the completed questionnaire as an e-mail attachment to .
You will be contacted in a few weeks as we assess needs and coordinate scheduling based on volunteer availability.
