Haiti Relief- 3 Days of Fasting + Prayer

Haitian President Rene Preval canceled traditional Carnival celebrations. Instead, Christians across the nation crowded into local churches for three days of fasting and prayer.

February 12 was a day of mourning, remembering the more than 200,000 people who died during the January 12 earthquake.

Nearly 2,000 people gathered for worship and prayer at the Christian Church of the Cities in Cite Soleil.

More than 90 percent of earthquake survivors are believed to have lost loved ones.

On the last day of prayer and fasting a large celebration took place near the palace in downtown Port-au Prince.
